About Dr. Erin Stewart
Health hinges on many things. Dr. Erin Stewart's treatments aim to address conditions that arise from the complex interplay of genetics, lived experience and environment. She integrates Eastern and Western Medicine to address root causes of health concerns and bring the whole person into balance. In addition to acupuncture, Erin has expertise in Eastern and Western physical exams, ordering and interpreting laboratory work and customized herbal formulation.
Pain Relief, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
As a lifelong athlete, Erin understands the importance of being able to do what you love, pain-free. She has extensive training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of pain and injuries. Her treatments fuse traditional meridian-based acupuncture with orthopedic acupuncture, trigger point therapy and dry needling. She also frequently utilizes acupressure, cupping and gua sha for optimal results.
Reproductive Health
Erin specializes in holistic treatment of female health concerns such as cycle-related pain and irregularities, endometriosis, PCOS and perimenopause-related symptoms. She also specializes in treating prostate-related conditions in males.
Anemia
For her doctoral research, Erin developed and studied a novel approach for the treatment of iron-deficiency anemia with Chinese herbal medicine. She addresses anemia and its underlying causes using a combination of acupuncture, customized herbal formulations, nutritional counseling and lifestyle medicine.
Mental Health
Life can stretch and challenge us in ways we never thought possible. Chinese Medicine is a powerful, and often untapped, tool for anxiety, depression, stress, grief, worry, loss, fear, anger or generally feeling stuck. Treatments work with all aspects of the psyche (mind, spirit, heart) and support the somatic processing of emotions.
Internal Conditions
Chinese Medicine can shine a critical and bright light on contributing factors to health issues and illuminate an effective path to healing. Erin works with a wide variety of conditions, from gastrointestinal issues and allergies to sleep disorders. For an in-depth list of conditions we work with, see our Conditions Treated page.
Outside the clinic Erin enjoys wildcrafting, camping and surfing California’s beautiful coastline.
